A Brief History

Incorporated in 1880, this town was originally named Custer’s Mill. The name was changed to Broadway after its economy developed.

The railroad built alongside Broadway played a huge role in its growth and development in the 1850s. It continued to expand even after the Civil War. Today, Broadway continues to be a social and economic center, buoyed by a steadfast economy and a diverse range of businesses.
