Joanne comes to the Shenandoah Valley by way of the Outer Banks and Tidewater Virginia. She received a strong understanding of the real estate business by observing and working with a highly successful real estate family. Understanding the commitment and dedication required of a Realtor®, and the personal toll that the business can have on one's family, Joanne chose to limit her involvement in the family business until her children completed their educations. However, this did not prevent her from gaining skills and recognition as a talented professional. As a sales executive, Joanne has successfully negotiated and provided services for nationally recognized organizations such as the Smithsonian Institute, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Planters Peanuts, and the National Institutes of Health.

A strong part of Joanne's values are also centered on her belief in giving back to her community. She has volunteered her time to serve in the PTA, community theater, domestic violence shelters, and has worked with agencies serving the elderly. After moving to the Shenandoah Valley, Joanne put her experience in real estate to work serving others. Her mission statement is simple but powerful: "To exceed the expectations of those seeking a real estate professional by providing an outstanding level of service."

Joanne's goal is to become the Realtor® that sets the standard for exemplary service to her clients. She rigidly adheres to the Realtor® Code of Ethics and to an even higher personal code of ethics based on treating others the way in which she would like to be treated.
